Aircraft Spins Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Well-Known Southern California Shoreline
An aircraft flying near a crowded California beach suddenly began spiraling wildly, ultimately descending rapidly and crashing into a cluster of palm fronds as spectators watched.
Recordings shared online depict the chopper beginning to twirl above the beach then plunging towards the border of the beach, where it becomes wedged amidst palm groves and a set of stairs adjacent to the Pacific Coast highway.
First Aid Update
The Huntington Beach fire department said five persons were rushed to the hospital involving two who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the crash on the weekend.
Three people on the street were harmed. Specifics on their condition were still under review.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.
