The Brazilian star Issues Apology to The Madrid Club Devotees
The attacker has netted 5 strikes in 10 La Liga matches so far this term.
Los Merengues winger Vinicius Jr has expressed regret to the fanbase for his reaction when replaced in Sunday's fiery match against Barcelona win.
Vinicius was replaced in the second half and displayed his frustration by walking immediately off the pitch.
Vinicius subsequently came back to the dugout and, after his club's narrow triumph, sought to engage Barcelona's opposing player during unsavoury after the game exchanges.
"This day I want to express regret to all the Madridistas for my behavior when I was substituted in the derby," the player shared on his account.
"In the same way as I have previously expressed during this morning's practice, I would like to express regret anew to my team-mates, the team, and the leadership.
"Sometimes fervor overcomes me because I continuously aim to triumph and assist my side. My winning mentality originates in the affection I feel for this institution and everything it represents."
Vinicius joined Real from his former club in recent years for millions and has notched triple figures in more than 300 games.
But his career in the La Liga is far from certain with rumors in the past few months suggesting that the club would contemplate letting the young star move on if they were to receive a good proposal.
When he was substituted on that day, broadcast footage from network the service picked him up remarking: "Again me! I'm exiting the club! It's wiser if I depart, I'm moving on."
In his new post on X, he said: "I commit to keep striving at all times for the benefit of the club, as I have acted since the first day."
